How She Became Red Velvet
Her heart weakened
How long has she become unread?
Lost beyond days,
Increasingly, delayed
Time has been stolen, taken; mistaken
Apple of an eye
The one-dollar lucky day
Rewards for miles, the distance between states
Just in time for leftovers, a red velvet taste
How long does one play the game of a heart without a face?
Time is taken, just enough for the apple to stale
Its been over a decade, how did she lose, what made her fail?
What happened to the days, words made a promise safe
There still is a need, yes indeed
She yearns what the heart lessens to pour out loud
She became silent, heartbroken
Mostly, she was in denial.
As much as she felt miscued,
She never let her love fade for you.
